[BSJ] Caribbean Regional Standards for 30-days non-objection

The following standards are being issued for thirty (30) days non-objection commencing 08 October 2018 to 06 November 2018. 

1.      CRS 32 Processed Foods – Pasta products – Specification

2.      CRS 42 Processed Foods – Ketchup

3.      CRS 53 Carbonated beverages – Specification

4.      CRS 61 Soap bars – Specification

Copies of these standards are available for viewing at the Bureau’s Main Office and four Regional Offices (Mandeville, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, and Savanna-La-Mar).



Jamaica’s Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, has been named the region’s number one airport for 2015. This designation was given by the online publication Caribbean Journal. “Any airport where we can grab a piping hot Tastee patty within moments of arrival is a good one in our book. Throw in Club Mobay; a plethora of shops; diverse dining options that include a Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville; a Bobsled Café; a smoking lounge and free baggage carts and you’ve got an airport where a long layover doesn’t seem that bad,” the publication said. It continued, “transiting through these Caribbean hubs, which take the drudgery out of departing, with perks every passenger can appreciate,” added to MBJ’s appeal.
